Random archival thought of the day

I was flipping through the Carr McLean catalogue today and ran across this:

It is their new product, a Human Remain's Box, (only $39.95, get yours today!).

My first thought was:

"I could totally use one of these."

Have i ever told you the story about the bones I found here? I found some bones...

There is some weird stuff in my archives.

Man that is a weird, yet probably useful in a lot of archive, box-type-thing.

Sorry Dr. J, no skulls, for sale or otherwise - well, i think i found a piece of skull separate from the other bones, in, of all things, a christmas-box, in a larger box labeled "The I don't know box" which is filled with all kinds of crazy stuff. I am not 100% sure but i think that it is a piece of a skull. Every once in a while I think about contacting some forensic anthropologist (like Bones on TV!) or something to see if that bit o'skull is indeed skull and if to see if it could be tested to see if it is part of the same skeleton and the other bones.

Selsine - while i'm not positive, i think having human bones isn't exactly a common thing in canadian archives - the human remains (and other "bones" boxes) are primarily for archaologists, from what i could tell, with some museums, too, i imagine. Definitely is kinda weird though.
